How to remove channels from your Roku® streaming device
Channels can be removed from your Roku streaming player or Roku TV™ from within your channel lineup or from within the Roku Channel Store. Channels can also be removed when using the Roku mobile app on a compatible mobile device.
When you are ready to remove a channel, first determine if the channel has a subscription, and whether that subscription is billed to your Roku account.
- Go to my.roku.com on your computer or smartphone
- If prompted, sign in to your Roku account
- Select Manage Your Subscriptions
If the channel you want to remove is listed on this page, the subscription must first be canceled before the channel can be removed from your Roku device.
- Note:
- If a subscription is cancelled before the end of the billing cycle, you can continue to access the channel until the current billing cycle ends.
- Channels cannot be removed at Roku.com.
Removing channels from within your channel lineup
- Press Home
on your Roku remote - Move to the right and highlight the channel you wish to remove
- Press Star
on your remote to open the Options menu - Select Remove channel and confirm when prompted
Removing channels from within the Roku Channel Store
- Press Home on your Roku remote
- Select Streaming Channels to open the Channel Store
- Locate the channel you wish to remove and press OK
on your remote
- Tip: A check mark appears in the bottom right hand corner identifying an installed channel.
- Select Remove channel and confirm the selection when prompted
Removing channels from within the Roku mobile app
If needed, install the Roku mobile app.
- Launch the Roku mobile app
- Tap Channels
from the navigation bar - From the Channels tab, select My Channels to view a list of channels installed on your Roku device.
- Tap and hold a channel to view more information
- Tap Remove and confirm your decision
