How to clean your Roku audio device
Whether its a Roku Streambar®, Roku Streambar Pro, Roku® Smart Soundbar, a pair of Roku wireless speakers, a Roku TV™ Wireless Soundbar, or Roku subwoofer, every Roku audio device enhances your listening experience, and looks good doing it. To keep the appearance of each audio device at its best, you can clean it periodically using the simple and easy instructions in this article. You likely already have everything you need at home.
What materials do I need?
You can use the following household items when you want to clean your Roku audio devices.
- Clean, soft, dry cloth
- Vacuum with a non-moving, soft brush attachment (optional). Do NOT use a hard vacuum attachment.
WARNING: We do NOT recommend chemical cleaning products or solvents which may cause damage to the surfaces on your audio devices.
How to clean your Roku audio devices
Use the steps below to remove unwanted dust and lint from your audio devices.
- Remove the power cable from each device.
- With the clean, soft, dry cloth, wipe the rubber and plastic surfaces removing any unwanted dust and lint.
WARNING: Avoid touching the exposed speaker cone on the bottom of your Roku Wireless Bass Pro at the risk of damaging it.
- To clean the speaker grill fabric on your Streambar, soundbar, wireless speaker, or wireless soundbar, use a non-moving, soft brush attachment on your vacuum.
- Tip: For stubborn blemishes on smooth surfaces such as fingerprints or smudges, you can use a dedicated purpose product for electronics, such as soft, nonabrasive wet wipes designed specifically for smartphones, computer screens, televisions, and other electronics surfaces.
Use and Handling
To avoid damaging your Streambar, soundbar, speakers, or subwoofer, do NOT perform the following when cleaning:
- Do NOT submerge in water or allow liquid to get into your Roku audio devices.
- Do NOT expose your audio devices to dripping, spraying, or splashing.
- Do NOT expose your audio devices to high temperatures, high humidity, direct sunlight, heat sources, smoke, or steam.
- Do NOT drop, crush, or disassemble your Roku audio devices.
- Do NOT clean your audio devices with an ammonia based cleaner.
