How to sign in to watch movies and TV shows

Your Roku® streaming device lets you access movies and TV shows on The Roku Channel, channels published by your cable/satellite provider, and the Roku Channel Store.

While some channels automatically sign you in, most channels require you sign in to access your paid content. The email and password you use to sign in to a channel depends on how you signed up for it. Check the channel categories below for information how to sign in.

Channels on The Roku Channel

Your Roku device automatically signs you in to The Roku Channel during the activation process. Learn how to activate your Roku device for activation help.

Channels from the Channel Store

Subscriptions purchased on the Channel Store use your Roku account's email and password or the email and password of a separate account managed directly with the channel provider.

If you had an account with your provider prior to purchasing your Roku device, the username and password associated with your subscription is managed directly with your channel provider. Your email and password is also managed directly with your provider if you created an account while purchasing your subscription. Contact your provider for help with these sign in details.

If a channel did not prompt you to create an account during purchase, you use your Roku account's email and password to access your subscription. Get help with your Roku email and password for assistance accessing these channels.

Cable provider or TV network channels

Some channels are accessible only to customers with a cable provider or TV network subscription.
